This notice explains how Jabulani Meats (Pty) Ltd t/a Russian Boss SA (“Russian Boss”, “we”) collects and uses your personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
1. Who we are

2. What we collect
- Your name, cellphone/WhatsApp number, email address, town and province.
- Your survey answers (products, sizes, how often you buy, what you pay, delivery preferences).
- Business details if you buy for a business or join our partner programme: business name, type, volumes, delivery address, registration and VAT numbers.
- Orders, reservations, payments (handled by our payment provider; we do not store card numbers) and delivery details.
- Messages you send us on WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram or email.
- Website and advertising data: cookies and the Meta pixel record visits and survey completions so we can measure our adverts.
3. Why we use it
- To take, deliver and support your orders and reservations, and to apply vouchers.
- To plan our products, prices and delivery areas from survey answers.
- To register and pay partners (Boss Connectors, Mama Stokvels, shops, agents, distributors and key accounts).
- To send you product news, specials and other marketing by WhatsApp, SMS or email, only where you agreed or are an existing customer. Every message lets you opt out: reply STOP or tell us.
- To meet legal, tax and food-safety duties, including product recalls.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share only what is needed with: our CRM and messaging provider (GoHighLevel), Meta (WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram), our website host, payment providers, delivery partners, the manufacturing and delivery partners who fulfil your order, and our professional advisers or authorities where the law requires. Some of these providers store data outside South Africa; we use them only where POPIA allows such transfers (section 72), for example where they are bound to protect it to a similar standard.
5. How long we keep it
Only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Order and payment records are kept for as long as tax law requires. Marketing details are removed when you opt out, except a record that you opted out, so we never contact you again.
6. Your rights
You may ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to its use, and withdraw your marketing consent at any time. Email order@russianboss.co.za with your name and number. You may also complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa): www.inforegulator.org.za.
7. Security and children
We use access controls, encrypted connections and limited staff access to protect your information. Our marketing is aimed at adults; please do not give us information about anyone under 18 without a parent’s or guardian’s consent.
8. Changes
We will post any update on this page with a new version number and date.
